1. Church Renamed: On May 25, 2008, the congregation  voted to change our name from "Church of the Lighted Window" to "La Canada Congregational Church.". Our affiliation with the United Church of Christ. is unchanged. The legal details of the name change are still being worked out.
2. Refurbish the roof: On July 15, 2008., the church Finance and Property Board voted to ask the congregation to approve a refurbishing plan for the sanctuary roof.  There will be a special congregational meeting in September or October (2008) to approve the costs. Pictures of the current roof and a sample of the renovated roof  are shown below.
